Milly McDonagh

I am a marketing and communications graduate with experience in developing integrated campaign concepts across digital and social platforms. My portfolio showcases work in branding, content development, SEO optimisation and audience-focused communication strategies.

Previously working in medical administration, I have developed strong organisational, communication, and coordination skills within high-pressure environments. I am currently open to employment opportunities and am motivated to apply both my creative and professional experience in a marketing-focused role.

Education

Cert IV in Marketing & Communications

North Metropolitan TAFE | 2025

Completed a Certificate IV in Marketing and Communications, gaining practical experience in planning and executing marketing campaigns across digital and traditional channels. The course developed my skills in audience research, content creation, branding, and integrated marketing communications, with a strong focus on aligning creative concepts with strategic objectives and measurable outcomes.

WACE Certificate

Perth College

Completed my Western Australian Certificate of Education (WACE) at Perth College, developing strong foundations in communication, critical thinking, and independent study. 

Adaptable & Agile - I have a high capacity to respond quickly to changing stragegy, trends and consumer behaviour.

 

I value working with team members to overcome challenges, pivot when required and incorporate new technology. I practice working with both momentum and reflection, moving forward and engaging in deliberate reflection on campaign performance to see where improvements can be made.


Collaborative - I enjoy engaging & creating within a team enviornment and with the input of the clientele.

 

Understanding their work, products, values and team is a vital component to my work ethos - through understanding their expertise, I can utilise mine to create brand & marketing materials that speak directly to their consumer and 

embody the essence of their business. 


Unconventional - I enjoy finding a marketing approach that is unusual & invites the consumer to reflect. I am passionate about the developments in technology including AI and social platforms.

 

I enjoy learning about consumer psychology from journal articles, particularly the neurocognitive research that has been conducted on the role of eye tracking in visual attention & perception in advertising.

 

These insights will be the P.O.D in my work and I believe I can contribute meaningfully to digital marketing by including these findings within the advertisements & marketing channels. 


Communication - Empathetic, clear & respectful, whether thats to the team, when engaging with the client or with the local barista.

 

I enjoy learning more about new industries & products, listening to the clients and the consumers is vital. The feeling of "being heard" is paramount.

 

From my volunteer work with Lifeline, you are taught  the importance of truly listening and communicating with respect & intention. To me this translates across my work - ensuring your team members, your clients and their consumers feel heard and understood is crucial to maintaining a positive connection, even amongst times where the plan needs to be changed,  disagreement etc.
